Mike is a seasoned life sciences executive with over two decades of experience in biotechnology, diagnostics, and healthcare innovation, including as Chief Executive Officer of Cernostics, Inc., where he led the development and commercialization of TissueCypher®, a pioneering and predictive AI-driven diagnostic test for Esophageal Cancer. Under his leadership, Cernostics achieved significant milestones, culminating in its acquisition by Castle Biosciences (NASDAQ:CSTL). His career also includes a tenure as Principal at Geisinger Health System’s Office of Strategic Industry Partnerships, where he focused on fostering collaborations between the health system and industry partners. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree in molecular immunology from San Diego State University.  He is currently Chief Executive Officer of Aegea Biotechnologies, a life science tool company headquartered in San Diego.
