Dr. Magda Marquet is a pioneering entrepreneur, investor, and leader in the life sciences industry, with a strong track record of building and commercializing biotechnology companies. She co-founded Althea Technologies (Ajinomoto) and AltheaDx (Castle Biosciences).Currently, Dr. Marquet is the co-CEO of ALMA Life Sciences, LLC, an investment firm supporting early-stage healthcare companies and holds board positions at Arcturus Therapeutics, AnaptysBio, Transcode Therapeutics and Immix BioPharma as well as several other private companies. 

A key figure in San Diego’s life sciences ecosystem, she has played a pivotal role in organizations like BIOCOM, UCSD Moores Cancer, Scripps Research Institute, Sanford Laboratories and Curebound.Dr. Marquet holds a Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from INSA/University of Toulouse, France. She has received numerous accolades, including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and was the first woman inducted into the CONNECT Entrepreneur Hall of Fame.
